“How I wish I were a fairy!” thought Nidhi.
The fairy children gave Nidhi all their toys to play. Nidhi saw a magic doll.
It could talk, walk, sing and dance. What a wonder!
What did Nidhi wish?
“Can I take this doll home?” asked Nidhi.
“You can’t take it home. You can play with it here as long as you like” said the
fairy.
Nidhi played and played in Fairyland. A little before sunset, the fairy came
and said “Come on child, you’ve to be back home before sunset. Let’s go.”
But Nidhi was in no mood to go home. She wanted to stay a little longer.
The fairy pulled her by the hand. Nidhi gave a loud
cry and woke up.
“Get up, Nidhi! You’ll get late for school.”
Her mother was waking her up for school.
“Am I not in Fairyland?” asked Nidhi.
“Fairyland? That must have been a dream,”
mother said. Nidhi got out of bed happily.
She went to school and told her friends
all about Fairyland.
What did Nidhi’s mother say when
she asked about Fairyland?
