When you think about Japan, you probably think of sushi and sumo right? Well there’s
more to Japan than these.
Known as the land of the rising sun, Japan is an incredibly unique country. It is one of
the most developed countries globally, known for its innovative and advanced technologies.
The country’s high-tech industry makes some of the most popular electronic products and
vehicles in the world. It is no wonder that Japan has the third largest economy in the world.
Besides, Japan is a country that holds on to its traditions and customs. Many events and
festivals form a part of Japanese
culture. There are religious
festivals that are celebrated
with prayers and offerings while
others are cultural festivals that
feature traditional music, dance
and crafts. People wear kimono,
the national dress of Japan
during these special occasions.
The culture of Japan is also
unique.
Greetings are considered to
be of extreme importance in
Japanese culture. When people
meet each other they do not shake hands. They bow when entering each other's homes and
in temples and even many restaurants and tourist sites, people take off their footwear.
