‘As though’ is a conjunction.
We use ‘as though’ to talk about an imaginary situation or a situation that may be true or that is
likely or possible. In other words, ‘as though’ is used when you are giving a possible explanation
for something or saying that something appears to be the case when it is not.

It looks as though it is going to be a sunny day.
You sound as though you haven’t eaten anything today.
