Imperative Sentences
• We can change imperative sentences too, from direct to indirect speech.
Examples : “Pay the fine,” the traffic policeman to me. (Direct speech)
The traffic policeman told me to pay the fine. (Indirect speech)
“Don’t sit here,” the teacher said to me. (Direct speech)
The teacher told me not to sit there. (Indirect speech)
