It is well known around the world for weaving Ikkat Saris and other textiles. Pochampally, also known as Ikkat/Tie & Dye, is a fabric whose uniqueness resides in the transfer of design and colouring onto warp, for expertly weaving them together. Famous Ikkat patterns and clothing are produced in Pochampally and a number of other villages in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
