The next morning Sher Singh went towards the tracks as usual. But what did he see there? A huge rock on the tracks! There was very little time left for the express train to come.Sher Singh heard the whistle of the express train at a distance. He tried to push the rock but it was too heavy. He had to act quickly. He had an idea. He quickly removed his shirt and tied it to a long stick. Then he lit it with a matchstick. He stood in the middle of the track and waved the cloth. The train was coming over the hill. The engine driver saw the boy waving the cloth and stopped the train.%u201cAre you mad?%u201d the angry driver said. %u201cWhy are you standing here? Do you want to die?%u201d%u201cLook at this, sir,%u201d said Sher Singh pointing to the rock.%u201cOh my God! You have saved all of us.I am really sorry, dear,%u201d said the driver. %u201cThank you very much.%u201dThe passengers also got down. They thanked Sher Singh because he had saved their lives.The next day Sher Singh%u2019s name appeared in the newspapers. He had become a hero.
