          Knitting

The process of looping and tying a thread of yarn or wool with needles to

make cloth is known as knitting. Wool is mostly used for knitting caps,

stockings, mufflers, gloves, and sweaters. Knitting, like weaving, can
be done by hand or with a knitting machine. T-shirts, swimwear, and

          undergarments are knitted on machines.

Nowadays people wear cotton, silk, and synthetic fibres. Textiles are dyed

or coloured. Natural colours are obtained from plant leaves, fruits, and

roots. We also use synthetic or artificial colours.
