Parents go to work. In the evening, they relax after a long day at work. They
watch television, read books, and go for walks. As there was no television in
olden days, people would sit around and talk to one another.

What can we do to help our parents?
Children can also help their parents in many ways.
• They can help their parents in various household work.
• The elder children can take care of their younger siblings.
• They can water the plants every day.
• They can also keep the surroundings clean.
Different work done by people
People around us do a variety of jobs to support themselves and their
families by earning money. These people are called community helpers.
The work done by them is their occupation.
For example -
A grocer sells groceries.
A fruit and vegetable seller
