1. Family
A family refers to all the people who are closely related to us. Our family includes
our parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and their children. Families can
vary in size and each member has a specific role to play.
Nuclear Family
A nuclear family consists of a mother, a father
and their children living together. This type of
family is smaller and more common in many
places.
Children do not have much time to play. They
can’t spend time with their grandparents.
Children played a lot of outdoor games in
olden days. Nowadays, they spend a lot of time
watching television or playing on computers or Nuclear family
mobile phones.
Joint Family
A joint family consists of grandparents,
parents and their children, uncles, aunts
and cousins. This type of family is larger
and can be found in some places.
People used to live in joint families in
the olden days. Everyone in the family
supported each other. As there were no
smartphones, children used to play many
Joint family outdoor games.
