All the pigeons struggled hard to get out of the net. “Our lives are in danger.
We must think and act fast,” said the leader.
“I have an idea,” said the youngest of the pigeons. What happened when the
pigeons began to eat the
food grains?
“We shall all fly up and carry the net with us.”
Now the pigeons lifted the net with their beaks.
“Now get ready. One.... two...
three... let’s fly up,” said the
leader.
The hunter was amazed to see
his net going up into the air.
He ran after them but soon be
came tired and gave up the
chase.
The pigeons flew with the net high
over hills and valleys, far, far away from the
cruel hunter. At last, they reached a small
hill.
“Here lives my good friend, a little mouse.
He will certainly help us,” said the leader. The little mouse heard the noise
made by the flock of pigeons and came out of his hole .
He was happy to see his friend.
Where did the little mouse
“We have been caught in a trap set by a hunter. live?
Can you do anything to set us free?” asked the leader.
“Let me think... Yes, I will be able to free you soon,” said the mouse.
He began to bite through the net and soon all the pigeons were set free. The
pigeons thanked the little mouse for saving them. Then they flapped their
wings and flew away.
