mouse maid said, “No father, never. I shall not marry the

wind. He is always moving about and cannot remain in

one place.”

“Is there anyone greater than you?” the holy man asked
the wind. “Yes, the mountain is certainly stronger and

more powerful. I can move anything but not him,” said

the wind.

The holy man now called the mountain. The mountain

bowed down humbly and said, “O holy man, why did you
call me?” But before the holy man could say anything

the mouse maid said, “Please look for someone better. He is so big and rough.” Now

the holy man was tired but he did not want to give up. He asked the mountain. “Is
there anyone who is greater than you?” The mountain said,

“O holy man! I am very strong, no doubt. But a mouse can make refuse to marry the mountain?
holes in me. So, the mouse is indeed greater than I am.”

The holy man then called the mouse. The mouse came

and stood before the holy man. As soon as the mouse
maid saw the mouse, she cried out in joy. “Father,

I want to marry him and nobody else. I love him
with all my heart.”

The holy man thought for a while. Using his
magical powers, he changed the mouse

maid back into a mouse. And they got

married and lived happily ever after.
