His parents did not say anything. They ate their dinner and went to bed. Chandu did
not eat anything.
That night, Chandu saw a fairy in his dream. She told him that he could make a wish.
Chandu said to the fairy, “I want nice food on my plate everyday.” The fairy granted
him his wish and disappeared.
The next morning, Chandu woke up early and quickly got ready to go to school. His
mother served him breakfast. It was always a boiled egg, a fruit and a glass of milk. He
looked at his plate and thought, “I wish I could have chips and cola for breakfast.”
