and that too a post graduate. She is the
first woman to work on the Telco shop
floor.” I was relieved that the topic of

my letter never came up.

Today, close to 50 percent of the
students in engineering colleges are
girls. And there are women on the shop
floor in many industry segments. I see

these changes and I think of JRD. If at
all time stopped and asked me what I

wanted in life, I would wish that JRD
were alive today to see how the company
he started has grown. He would enjoy it
wholeheartedly.
