• I play tennis every day. (simple present)
• I am playing tennis now. (present continuous)
• She eats an apple every day. (simple present)
• She is eating an apple now. (present continuous)
The negative forms of simple present can be made using don’t or doesn’t with verb.
The negative forms of present continuous tense can be made by using am not, is not or are
not and -ing form of verb.
Study the following examples :
• I watch sports on television. • She eats breakfast at home.
But I don’t watch news on television. She doesn’t eat lunch at home.
• We are going to the park now. • She is studying English now.
We are not going to school. She is not studying maths now.
Simple present questions can be made using do or does with verb.
Present continuous questions can be made using am, is or are and -ing form of verb.

• Do you wake up early every morning? • Does she walk to school every day?
• Are you doing your homework now? • Is he going to school now?
