8. Birds
Birds are some of the most beautiful and colourful creatures in the animal
kingdom. All birds have wings, which allow them to fly. Their body is
covered with feathers. These feathers make the birds look different from
other animals.
All birds do not look similar. They vary in size, colour and shape.
Where do birds live?
Birds live almost everywhere. They live in and around our surroundings.
Some birds like hen and crow
live in our neighbourhood.
Some birds like pigeon,
sparrow and owl live on
trees.
Some birds like vulture, kite and eagle spend much
of their time flying in the air.
Bigger birds like ostrich and emu live
on the land.
