Birds are some of the most beautiful and colourful creatures in the animal
kingdom.
Birds live almost everywhere, in our neighbourhood, on trees, on the land
and in water.
All birds do not look similar.
Birds have a beak instead of a nose.
Birds have a pair of eyes, a pair of wings, a pair of feet with claws and a tail.
Wings have feathers of all shapes, sizes and colours.
Birds have three types of feathers – body feathers, flight feathers and down
feathers. They have streamlined bodies.
Birds have special body features that help them to fly.
