Let’s Recall
We see different kinds of animals living around us.
Animals need food to live, to grow, to move and to do various activities.
Animals depend on plants and other animals for their food.
Based on the type of food they eat, animals are grouped into herbivores,
carnivores and omnivores and scavengers depending on the ways of eating
their food.
Scavengers keep the ecosystem clean by eating the remains of the dead
animals.
Animals with their body features adapt to their eating habits for their
survival.
The food chain always begins with plants, followed by herbivores and
carnivores. This chain helps the environment balance.
