Safety during travel
Safety during travel is also important for us.
Hold an adult’s hand when crossing the street
or in a crowded place.
Remember your parents’ phone numbers.
Know your emergency phone numbers.
Do not talk to or go anywhere with strangers, even if they appear to be friendly.
When you’re on a school trip, stay in a safe place with your teachers and
classmates.
If you get lost, stay where you are and look for an adult or security guard.
First aid Think & Do you wear a seat belt while traveling in a car?
Answer Why should we wear a seat belt while traveling in a car?
What would you do if
you found someone
injured? We must try to give them first aid.
First aid is the first help given to an injured or sick person
before any medical help arrives. While giving first aid, you
should stay calm and not panic, and make the patient feel
comfortable. Call a doctor or make arrangements to take the patient to a hospital.
Types of first aid
Different types of wounds and injuries require different types of first aid.
For cuts and wounds
Before giving any kind of first aid, wash your hands. Wash the cut with water
and dry it gently with cotton. Apply an antiseptic cream or lotion on it.
If the wound is deep, try to stop the bleeding by wrapping a bandage around the
cut area above the cut. Take the patient to the doctor.
