11. Safety

Have you ever read about accidents in the

newspaper? What happens when we meet with

an accident?

Accidents cause injuries, financial losses, and

sometimes death. They can cause us both pain

and lifelong suffering.

How do accidents occur?

Accidents mainly occur because of negligence, ignorance, or overconfidence. We can

prevent most of the accidents by following safety rules.

Being Safe

Safety is important whether we are at home or outdoors. We can avoid injury if

we are cautious and follow safety rules.

Safety at home

Home is generally thought to be a safe place. Accidents do, however, occur at

home sometimes. Following safety rules will teach us to be more cautious at

home, making it a safer place.

Slipping on the floor

A wet floor or scattered toys might

cause anyone to slip and fall over

them. To avoid such accidents, you

must follow safety rules.

Keep the floors in your home dry.
