are man-made sources of water. This water may not be clean enough for drinking
and cooking. It needs to be filtered or boiled.

Inland Water
Some of the water is collected within land boundaries such
as coastal areas, wetlands, lakes, canals, rivers, reservoirs and
ponds. This is called inland water.
A small area of water surrounded by land is called a pond.
An area of water larger than a pond is Pond

Rivers originate from high mountains
when ice in the glaciers melts. The
