Water sources get polluted when garbage, human or animal faces are mixed
into the water.
Diarrhoea, Typhoid, Cholera, Dysentery, Hepatitis A etc. are some common
water-borne diseases. Common symptoms of waterborne diseases are
stomach cramps, vomiting, fever, loose motions etc.
Every year, millions of people are affected by water-borne diseases, mostly
those who lack access to clean and safe water. Access to clean water, good
hygiene, and safe sanitation is therefore essential for everyone.
