Sometimes we create our own rules for

a game. For example, if we are playing

cricket on a small ground near our

house, we choose the boundary line,

          distance between wickets etc.

Most of the games are played by a small

team. However, we change the rules by

talking among ourselves. But, once the regulations have been formed, they must

          be followed correctly.

          Women and games

We must not think that girls cannot play like boys. Many Indian sports

women have won medals and made us proud.

Did You Nikhat Zareen, the two-time world champion in boxing, said how
Know? her father’s words were the most motivating factor for her. She

thinks of her father’s words when she asked, “Is boxing only for
boys?” He said no. Yet they do not box since many believe girls
have a responsibility to stay at home and do housework.
                                                                                                 Nikhat Zareen

Indian women have constantly proved their abilities and competitive spirit in

sports such as cricket, badminton, boxing, wrestling, athletics, and shooting.
