A. Active and Passive voice
A sentence in active voice begins with the person or thing that does the action.
A sentence in passive voice begins with the person or thing that receives the action.
The object of an active sentence becomes the subject of a passive sentence.
Example: Active sentence : Sri painted the picture.
subject (the person active verb object (the thing that
who did the action) received the action)
Passive sentence : The picture was painted by Sri.
subject (the thing that passive verb object (the person who
received the action) did the action)
Now change the following sentences to passive voice.
1. The students finished the project.

3. The Prime Minister hoisted the flag.
