a New York distributor named Margaret Wrintler. Alice’s Wonderland was a hit and grew

into a longer series. Then he created a series starring a rabbit. The final product was called
Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit. The first short film, 'Trolley Troubles' was an instant success.
Later, Walt created a mouse with a round belly and skinny arms wearing two-button shorts,

the trend at that time. It was named Mickey Mouse. Walt came out with his short film,
“Steamboat Willie', featuring Mickey Mouse. It was the first animated cartoon film with
sound. It received rave reviews and Mickey Mouse became a sensation overnight. Within the

next ten years, Mickey and his fellow characters, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, the Dog and Donald
Duck became famous. Walt went on to make a full-length film, Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs, followed by Seal Island, Mary Poppins, Fantasia, The Aristocrats, Bambi and many
          others.

Walt won more than 100 prizes for his films including 29 Academy Awards. In 1964, he was

In 1955, Disney opened a theme park, Disneyland
at Anaheim, California. It features characters,
rides and shows based on the creations of Walt

          Disney.

Disneyland is the first of its kind which fulfils Walt
Disney’s dream of creating a place where parents
and children can have fun together. It is said to be
