Origami
Origami is the art of paper-folding. This art
is well-known in Japan, and it is now widely
used around the world. We use a special
origami paper for this craft.
Greeting Cards Origami
Most of us give/send greeting cards to family and friends on special
occasions. Cards allow us to express our feelings to family members,
friends, teachers and others. We give or send cards for birthdays, Father’s
Day, Mother’s Day, Grandparents Day and Friendship Day.
We make greeting cards with chart paper or special hand-made paper. We
put special message notes on the cards with colour pencils, crayons, pens
and sparkler pens. These cards are decorated with glitter, buttons, and
ribbons to make them special.

Let’s Recall

People wanted pots for cooking and containers for storing food grains.
Pots were made out of clay by hand and dried in the sun.
The potter’s wheel was invented to shape the pots.
Pots were made in different shapes with the help of a fast-rotating wheel.
The art of making pots in different sizes, shapes and designs is called pottery.
Early humans created art on caves and walls of mud houses.
