These tiny water droplets form clouds.
When cool wind flows over these clouds, the tiny water droplets combine to
form bigger water droplets. When water drops get bigger and heavier, they
form raindrops and fall to the ground as rain.
The movement of water from waterbodies to form clouds that rain, and
pour water back again as rain, into waterbodies, is called the water cycle.
Amazing When frozen, water expands by 9%. Ice floats
Facts because frozen water (ice) is lighter than water.
Ice floating
Let’s Recall
All living things need fresh air to live.
Wind, breeze, gale and storm are different types of air.
Air is a mixture of gases such as nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide.
The presence of dust and harmful substances in the air makes it unclean
which causes breathing problems for human beings.
Air gets polluted by human activities like burning fossil fuels, smoke
emitted by vehicles, household cleaning products, etc.
All living things on Earth need water to live and grow.
Three-fourths of the Earth is covered with water.
The water in rivers, lakes, ponds and streams as well as underground water
are few sources of water.
Water exists in three forms – liquid, ice and water vapour.
Evaporation and condensation are the processes which change the water
form.
The movement of water from water bodies to form clouds that rain and
pour water back again as rain into waterbodies is called the water cycle.
