Water is everywhere. All living things on Earth need water to live and
grow. We can survive a few days without food but not without water. It is
important for both plants and animals. Water does not have colour, odour
and taste.

Sources of Water
Three-fourths of the Earth’s surface is covered with water. The oceans
and the seas contain most of the water. But this water is salty. It cannot
be used for drinking.
