All living things communicate in some way or the other. Communication
can be verbal (oral), non-verbal, visual and written.
Humans, animals and birds all make
sounds in verbal communication.
Humans speak, birds sing and chirp,
insects buzz and dogs bark. People
communicate in a variety of ways,
such as storytelling and music.
Verbal communication
Many people express their feelings without speaking.
Non-verbal communication refers to communication
that takes place without speaking. A delicate touch, an
angry expression or a hard push all convey a message.
Non-verbal communication
People who cannot talk or hear communicate
their thoughts, ideas and feelings through sign
language.
People using sign language

artists and dancers express their feelings through facial expressions and
hand movements.
Visual communication is expressed
