• Eat a healthy, nutritious diet with plenty of green leafy vegetables, berries,
citrus fruits, nuts, seeds, and fish.
• Do not strain your eyes. When reading, make sure you have enough light.
Practice eye exercises that both relax and strengthen the eye muscles.
• Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes when you go out in the sun.
For Taste and Smell
Taste and smell are related. When you lose your sense of smell, you also lose
your sense of taste and vice versa.
• Maintain proper dental hygiene, as poor oral health can often result in taste
and smell problems. Gum and tooth disease or infections can have an impact
on the taste buds and nasal cavities.
• Excess salt intake might harm your taste buds. Reducing your salt intake
can help you taste better.
• Avoid foods that trigger allergies, sinusitis, or tonsillitis, which can impair
both taste and smell.
