sight of the sweets on the shelves. Bholanath
stopped and stared longingly at the sweets
in the shelves. He wanted to buy them but he

One day, when Bholanath was on his
way to work as usual, he stopped outside

“How dare you enjoy the smell of the sweets without paying for it?” Manikchand shouted.
Bholanath was surprised to hear this.
He said, “It’s ridiculous! Do you want me
to pay for the smell of sweets?”
“Yes, of course. If you don’t pay, I shall
take you to court,” Manikchand said.
Bholanath did not have any money. So
he went to court with Manikchand.
The judge heard Manikchand’s
complaint patiently. Then he turned to
Bholanath and asked him, “Do you have
any money?”
