Reading Comprehension Passages-3

                                       1. How to improve your memory power?

Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow.
The human brain is very powerful. The average adult human brain
weighs only about 1.4 kilograms, but it can hold much more information
than most computers. However, there is a difference between human

brains and computers. Computers don't forget information they are
given, but human brains often do. No one remembers everything and
luckily we don't have to. But some have a better memory than other
people - or at least, some people can remember something better
than some other people can. For example, Mozart, a famous musician in Europe, once listened to
a piece of music for the first time and then he immediately sat down at the piano and played it
perfectly from memory. But his memory wasn't good in other ways - his wife often had to remind

            him what day it was!
We can improve our memory if we want to. The first tip is to use new information immediately.

For example, if you hear a word for the first time, use it again and again. The second tip is to break
something big into smaller sections. If you cannot remember a phone number, say 9849223268,
split it into 9849 – 223 – 268 and it becomes easier! The third tip is to review information you have
learnt by bringing it back to your mind again and again.
