First Aid

Accidents do happen, even when we follow all safety precautions. First Aid

is the first and immediate help given to an injured or sick person. It can

save a person’s life if given properly.

If someone gets injured,

do not gather around the

victim. Do not panic and
call an adult immediately.

If you have a small cut

or bruise, wash it with

clean water and apply an

antiseptic cream. Use a band-aid or a clean cloth as a bandage.

For minor burns, pour cool water on the burnt portion or place it under a

tap. If a blister appears do not burst it, clean it and apply ointment.

First Aid Kit

Every home should have a first aid kit within reach.

A first aid kit is a box or bag with basic medical
supplies such as cotton, bandages, and antiseptic

cream or lotion. You can get a kit from a store or

make your own. It should be easy to carry and open.
