Sense of Sight
We see with our eyes. Sight, often known as
vision, is the ability of the eyes to focus and
recognise images of different colours and
brightness. Eyes
Eyes alert us to harmful situations, such as a speeding car coming towards
us. Our eyes provide information to our brain, which then directs our body.
Our body acts accordingly and we move away from danger.

Blind People
People who cannot see are known as visually challenged or blind people.
Such people have a highly developed sense of touch and smell. Their
sense of touch is extremely helpful to them. Blind people use their sense
of touch to read and write.
They use a special system
known as the Braille Script.
This system comprises codes
with raised dots representing
the alphabet. Louis Braille
developed it in 1824.
Disabled people can perform
very well if they get good
guidance and support.
