Human beings also breathe with their nose and lungs.

          Non-living things do not breathe. For example, if you

          deflate  a balloon, nothing  happens to  it, it  will  not

          breathe air.

          Living things reproduce

          All living things reproduce young ones of their kind. Plants produce seeds

          from which  few  seeds  grow  into  new  plants.  Human beings  and  many

          animals like cows, dogs and horses give birth to babies. Birds reproduce by

          laying eggs.















          Non-living things do not reproduce. For example, a toy does not give birth

          to babies.

          Living things die


          All living things die after living for a specific period of time. This specific
          time period is called their lifespan. The lifespan of various

          living things differs. Some live for many years, while

          others are short-lived.

          Non-living things do not have life. So, they do not die.
