Stomach
The stomach is an internal organ that digests the
food we eat. It is a muscular, elastic, pear-shaped bag
below the ribs. Digestion is the process of breaking
food into small parts to be absorbed by the blood.
Blood carries digested food to different parts of the
body to provide energy.
Digestion starts in the mouth, where we chew our
food. We swallow our food after chewing it properly.
It moves from the food pipe to our stomach.
