Answer You might have noticed a cow or a goat while they are grazing. Which type of teeth do
they have?
Incisors or cutting teeth are the four front flat teeth in each jaw.
They help to cut and bite the food.
Incisor
Canines or tearing teeth are sharp pointed teeth. They are two in each
jaw, on either side of the incisors. They help to tear the food.
Canine
Premolars or crushing teeth are the four broad teeth in each jaw, two on
either side of the canine. They help to crush the food.
Premolar
Molars or grinding teeth are broader than premolars. There are six
in each jaw, three on either side of the premolars. They help to grind
the food.
