hard but softer than enamel. It makes up the
volume of the tooth.
Pulp: It lies inside the dentine. It is soft and contains nerves and blood vessels.
Blood vessels provide nutrition to the tooth.
Root: It is the longer part of the tooth and is fixed to the jaw bone inside the
gums. It helps the tooth to stay in its proper place.
