Let’s Recall
Leaves are the most important parts of plants.
The leaf blade, leaf veins and midrib are the parts of a leaf.
Plant leaves can be classified into two types based on their arrangement:
network arrangement of veins and straight-line arrangement of veins.
Veins carry water and minerals to all parts of the leaf and carry food from
the leaf to the stem.
Photosynthesis is the process plants use to make their food with the help of
air, water, and chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight.
Leaves are of different shape, size, colour, texture and smell.
The fallen leaves become rot and get mixed with the soil. This soil becomes
manure rich in nutrients which helps for the growth of plants.
Leaves are used in our daily lives for various purposes.
