Let’s Recall

” Leaves are the most important parts of plants.

” The leaf blade, leaf veins and midrib are the parts of a leaf.

” Plant leaves can be classified into two types based on their arrangement:
network arrangement of veins and straight-line arrangement of veins.

” Veins carry water and minerals to all parts of the leaf and carry food from
                 the leaf to the stem.

” Photosynthesis is the process plants use to make their food with the help of
air, water, and chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight.

” Leaves are of different shape, size, colour, texture and smell.

” The fallen leaves become rot and get mixed with the soil. This soil becomes
manure rich in nutrients which helps for the growth of plants.

” Leaves are used in our daily lives for various purposes.
