Different parts of our country have

different designs and patterns of clothes.

Some are made with dyes or coloured

threads, while some are painted. These

are not just clothing but they are the

reflection of the region’s heritage and craftsmanship.

Famous designs and patterns include the Madhubani of Bihar, the Bandhani

of Rajasthan, the Phulkari of Punjab, the Kalamkari of Andhra Pradesh, the

Kantha work of West Bengal and the Chikankari of Uttar Pradesh.

           Amazing
Facts The present Snakes and Ladders game is based on the

ancient Indian game ‘Moksha Patam’. This game was initially
a symbol of Hindu culture and was used as a means to teach

children the difference between good and evil. It involved
sliding down snakes, which stood for evil, and rising ladders,
                       which represented good.
